FELICITATIONS TO ALL FARMERS ON FARMERS’ DAY
I wish to extend my warmest felicitations to this year’s Best Farmer and all award winners on this special Farmers Day Celebration, especially those in the Shai Osudoku Constituency.
The contribution of farmers to the economy and the subsistence of every Ghanaian, irrespective of status, cannot be over-emphasized and I feel pleased to join all Ghanaians in extending our felicitations to all farmers and fishermen.
It is important to state that Farmers Day, to some of us, is not about winning awards, but a time to reflect on the role farmers play in the overall development of the country.
There are numerous farmers and fishermen who continue to feed homes without being recognized but that doesn’t take away their indispensable role in ensuring food security in the country.
Across the Shai Osudoku Constituency and the country at large are several farmers who have never received any awards. To that category of farmers and fishermen, I would like to send a word of encouragement to continue with the good works.
I would like to assure those in my constituency of my continuous commitment to their cause and my readiness to pursue the agenda that would inure to their benefit at all times.
I would ensure that you get true value for your work and that your labor is never in vain.
You have kept us from hunger and starvation, in spite of challenges like the invasion of the Fall Army Worm invasion and we salute you for your devotion to duty in spite of the difficult conditions under which you work.
Keep it up.
Ayekoo to you all
HON LINDA OCLOO,
MP, SHAI OSUDOKU CONSTITUENCY,
