Honourable Dr. Okoe Boye, Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency and a Medical Practitioner has advocated on Thursday 16th November,2017 Parliament Sitting for the effective functioning and enforcement of Sanitation Laws.
Speaking on the motion before then the honourable house concerning the Additional Financing for the Sustainable Rural Water and Sanitation Project, he argued that it must be no longer an option to champion the enforcement of Sanitation Laws, adding that anyone found guilty of not owning compliance to enacted sanitation legislations should face sanctions.
He applauds Government’s attempts to curb the sanitation menace confronting the country is in the perfect and right direction but says Government cannot sympathise citizen’s poor sanitation attitudes.
On the same motion the Honourable Deputy majority leader Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo was discouraged as she expresses that maintenance culture of some citizens to public facilities like the public toilets is very poor and appalling.
