The National Association of Student Cadets Ghana has commended the Armed Forces Children Association’s Auxiliary Corps (AFCA) for introducing the Community Emergency Response Team CERT programme. A programme which aims at offering training service and provide a room for employment for young cadets especially immediate graduate.
The Secretary General JUO Adjetey Albert Sowah claimed that their student union is very happy about the initiative saying that ” the introduction of this programme will prove relevance of the Basic Cadet Education and also encourage the pursue of the Basic Cadet Training “. Adding that ” one way or the other, the programme is actually an attempt to reduce the problem of employment and the ideal of seeking greener pastures v among youths”
The CERT initiative which is not only meant for cadets requires a minimum qualification of ability to read and write and with an age of 18-50 years with Registration across the whole Ghana, in every district.
Jobs established under the programme include Security, Certified First Aider/Paramedics, Certified First Responder, Certified Pool/ Lifeguard, Certified SAR.
